Cluj-Napoca Centre (RO)
Dr. Renata Zahu is a primary radiotherapy physician and is part of the Amethyst team since 2014.
Dr. Zahu attended specialization studies at the Oncological Institute “Prof. Dr. Ion Chiricuta” in Cluj-Napoca, and trainings in the UK, at the Royal Derby Hospital and the Royal Marsden Hospital in London.
She worked at the Oncology Centre in Oradea. She has attended numerous courses in the country and abroad on modern radiotherapy technologies.
She is a member of ESTRO (European Society of Radiation Oncology) and SRROM (Romanian Society of Radiotherapy and Medical Oncology).
Topics of medical interest include malignant tumours of the ENT sphere, cerebral and pulmonary tumours and sarcoma.
At the Amethyst Clinic she is involved in imaging-guided radiotherapy (IGRT) and is a clinical instructor for radiotherapy technicians.

Dr. Gabriel Kacsó is a primary physician for Radiotherapy and Medical Oncology, coordinating the medical team at the Amethyst Cluj Radiotherapy Center since its opening in October 2014.
From 1994 to 2014 he was a physician within the Radiotherapy and later in the Brachytherapy Departments of the Cluj Oncology Institute.
He attended internships in Paris, Nice and Vienna. He is a University Lecturer at “Iuliu Hatieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Department of Oncology, being the coordinator of the Oncology Scientific Student Circle.
He is author and co-author to over 50 scientific articles, over 15 courses and university and postgraduate textbooks, including 5 specialized books.
Invited as a lecturer at numerous national and international conferences, he is a member of Romanian Radiotherapy/Oncology Societies (SRROM), and of similar Balkan (BUON), European (ESTRO) and American (ASTRO) societies.
His areas of special interest are gynaecological, mammary, digestive, and otolaryngologic oncology and brachytherapy.
With Amethyst group, as Chief Medical director, his priority is to ensure optimal oncology treatment for every patient.

Bucharest Centre (RO)
Since February 2020, Dr. Laurentiu Bujor holds the position of Medical Director within the Amethyst Radiotherapy Center Bucharest, is an active member of the Tumour Board, participates in the therapeutic decisions, carries out radiotherapy plans using IMRT VMAT technique and ensures the care and follow-up of patient during and post–therapy.
Dr. Laurentiu Bujor has over 20 years' experience in radiotherapy, in medical centres in Europe (1994-1998 Centro Di Rifermento Oncologico Aviano, Italy; 2007-2014 Scientific Coordination and the introduction of innovative techniques in radiotherapy at Santa Maria Centro Hospital Lisboa Norte, Portugal; 2014-31.07.2017 Tumour Board Coordinator for thoracic oncological pathologies, neuro-oncology, ENT, gynaecological and
breast, head of the Brachytherapy section at CH Universitaire Martinique, France); 2017 - 2020 - Medical Director Radiotherapy Centre Sanador - established and coordinated the radiotherapy department.

Bucharest Centre (RO)
With extensive experience and international reputation in radiotherapy, Prof. Dr. Ion-Christian Chiricuta has dedicated his entire career to treating cancer patients, both through medical practice and through his scientific work.
In 1978, Prof. Dr. Chiricuţă obtained the Doctor of Physics degree at Babes-Bolyai University and the PhD degree at the Institute of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj. He completed his residency in radiotherapy at Coltea Hospital in Bucharest.
Since 1986 Prof. Dr. Chiricuta has worked in Germany as a resident in the Marienhospital – Herne Hospital (Herze University Hospital) radiotherapy department (Bochum University).
From 1988 until 1995, Prof. Dr. Chiricuţă worked at the Radiotherapy Clinic of the University of Wuerzburg and since 1991 Prof. Dr. Chiricuţă is a radiotherapy specialist.
In 1996, Prof. Dr. Chiricuta was appointed Chief Medical Officer and Director of the Oncological Radiotherapy Institute at St. Vincenz of Limburg, where he was active until 2010. In the same year, Prof. Dr. Chiricuţă obtained his PhD in medicine at the University of Wuerzburg and in 2002 he received the title of Professor at the University of Wuerzburg.
Currently, Prof. Dr. Chiricuta collaborates with the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Carol Davila, where he teaches “Medical Imaging, Ionizing Radiation in Diagnosis and Treatment. Clinical Radiobiology” within the Master of Biophysics and Cell Biotechnology, which involves the training of students in modern radiotherapy equipment and the practical implementation of external irradiation plans.
Prof. Dr. Ion-Christian Chiricuta is the author of 3 books on oncology and radiotherapy from 2001-2004, also co-author of four other such books and the author of over 40 articles in specialized magazines and publications.
Prof. Dr. Chiricuta has often returned in the country for conferences, congresses or trainings to share part of his experience and thus to contribute to the evolution of local radiotherapy.

Prof. Jean-Marc Cosset is Medical Director of Amethyst France. He practices as physician specialised in brachytherapy and radiotherapy for prostatic cancer.

Medical Director of Amethyst Polska. Dr Hetnal is a doctor with specialisation in oncological radiotherapy.
In 2001-2013, he worked at the Oncology Centre in Kraków as a research assistant and then assistant professor (adiunkt). In 2006, he qualified as a medical doctor at the Collegium Medicum, Jagiellonian University. He held his scientific internships at the Institute of Oncology in Gliwice and the Radio-oncology Clinic in Dresden.
Dr Hetnal has authored 23 publications and 3 chapters in specialist books and has delivered 44 presentations at scientific conferences.

Marta Urbanska – Gasiorowska is Deputy Medical Doctor at the Amethyst Radiotherapy Centre. She is an oncology doctor and specialist in oncological radiotherapy with more than 20 years of professional experience.
She is a graduate of the Medical Faculty, Collegium Medicum, Jagiellonian University. She did an internship at the Haematology and Oncology Clinic in Krankenhaus Nordwest in Frankfurt, Germany.
She is co-author of five scientific publications and a Member of the ESTRO (European Society for Radiotherapy & Oncology) and the Polish Society for Oncological Radiotherapy.
Marta Urbanska – Gasiorowska is Deputy Medical Doctor at the Amethyst Radiotherapy Centre. She is an oncology doctor and specialist in oncological radiotherapy with more than 20 years of professional experience.

Dr. Giuseppe Giovinazzo is the Clinical Director of Amethyst Rome Cancer Care Centre.
Dr. Giovinazzo graduated from medical school from the prestigious Normale University in Pisa.
He worked as a Radiation Oncologist since 1991, first at Santa Maria Goretti Hospital in Latina and then - from 1998 to 2016 – at the National Italian Institute for Cancer Regina Elena.
Dr. Giovinazzo has expertise in the management of solid tumours with Radiotherapy, chemo and Hormonal therapy, as well as being well versed in using all the most modern radiotherapy techniques, such as SRT, SBRT, VMAT, IGRT, IMRT, 3DCRT & Gating.
