Since 2017, major renovation and investment programme has been conducted by Amethyst, to offer best-in-class radiotherapy treatments to around 800 patients each year.
Our centre stems from the collaboration of the Hospitaler Order St. Jonh of God – Fatebenefratelli and Amethyst Radiotherapy. The centre is located on the Tiber Island in Rome, inside the San Giovanni Calibita Hospital. The centre was established in 2017 through a partnership with the Fatebenefralli Order.
Thanks to the implementation of the most advanced treatment techniques and through the use of the best technology available. The Amethyst centre on the Tiber Island positions itself amongst the best and most specialised Cancer care centres in Rome.
The technology available in our centre allows for the execution of techniques such as Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT), stereotactic treatments and Radiosurgery. The Amethyst-Fatebenefratelli centre in one of the few in Rome able to treat over 70% of cases with Volumetric or Stereo techniques.
Moreover, Amethyst Rome offers a free shuttle service to all patients to and from the closest train station (Stazione Ostiense).
